Alumni Seal Football Benefit Party

    The Seals Football Alumni Association will be sponsoring a party to benefit our State Champions, The Selinsgrove Seals!!!    The event will take place on Saturday, May 1st, 2010 from 8pm to 11pm at the Selinsgrove VFW. The cost is $10 and all profits will benefit our State Championship Football Team. Full Moon Sound System will be featured and soda, beer, and snacks such as hot dogs, chips, pretzels, etc. will be included in the price. (Mixed drinks will be available for purchase.) Tickets for the event can be purchased at the VFW and Selinsgrove Ford.

    This is the fans chance to give back to the team that provided our community with a sense of pride that will always be with us. Remember, we must all do our part to "Keep the Drive Alive" and "Do it Again in 10"!

   The Selinsgrove Football Alumni Association would like to recognize the entire Seals Football program for its success so far this season. But most importantly recognize the fine young men this program has produced and that are presently in the program. Derek Pope is an example of the character and the giving nature of the Seals Football Program. Derek a recent graduate of Susquehanna University is happy to give his time to help out with the Junior High program. Ryan Shuck made a believer out of everybody by working hard and was determined to play Division 1 football. Now he's playing football for Ohio State. Great student, nice guy. What better role model, what better hero could the youngsters of our community have? Ryan is an example of how with hard work and dedication your dreams can come true.So we are off to Berwick to win our first game against the Bulldogs at Berwick. Good Luck and GO SEALS!

Dear Selinsgrove Football Alumni:

   One of the things in my life I’m most proud of is the fact that I’m an alumnus of Selinsgrove High School Football.  Selinsgrove has become recognized as one of the premier programs in the state; a program that is noted for its hard-nosed play, its quality teams, and most importantly, the high standards it sets for its student athletes.    

  With this, I would like to welcome you to the Selinsgrove High School Football Alumni Association.  We are on the ground floor of an exciting new venture for our school, community and especially for the Selinsgrove Football Players and Alumni.  Our football program has risen to the point where it is on the threshold of greatness.  Generations of former players have laid the foundation that the current program has been built upon.  The Football Alumni Association is a great way for those of us to give back and provide a network of resources for our current players.    

  An initial goal for the alumni association is to provide equipment and resources for the players that would go above and beyond what the school can make available.  Longer term goals might include providing scholarship opportunities for student athletes, developing a local hall of fame, hosting team reunions at home games and providing resources for current players that would assist them in reaching their goals.  The positive things a group like this can do for our young men are virtually endless.      

  Many events for alumni association members are being discussed, but until we develop a healthy membership pool they cannot be finalized.  A link with an application to join the association is available below.    

  I would like to thank you in advance for your interest in joining the Football Alumni Association.  You will be supporting some of the greatest young men our community has ever seen, and you will have the opportunity to again be involved in one of the most fulfilling and positive programs in the state of Pennsylvania – the Selinsgrove Football Program.
